Seeking Nominations for 2018 Outstanding Senior Citizen Awards

January 30, 2018

Do you know an older adult who goes above and beyond in their community? Show your appreciation by nominating them for a 2018 Outstanding Senior Citizen Award. Nominations for each of our nine counties (Champaign, Clark, Darke, Greene, Logan, Miami, Montgomery, Preble, and Shelby) are accepted through March 30, and awards will be presented during Senior Citizens Day events in each county during Older Americans Month in May.

Service in any field of endeavor should be considered, including volunteer service, education, radio, television, business, medicine, art, music, journalism, religion, athletics, or politics. Nominations may be made by individuals or by organizations; organizations are asked to nominate only one nominee per county. Please check nomination guidelines on the form for eligibility requirements. Previous award recipients cannot be considered.

People who do the most for others generally don’t consider their actions to be noteworthy, but recipients know better.  Consider taking time today to nominate that outstanding senior who has impacted your community.
