You can help local seniors by representing your county on the Area Agency on Aging Advisory Council, and we currently have openings for Champaign and Greene County representatives. The Advisory Council advises the Board of Trustees regarding administration of federal and state funds for services to people age 60 and older, and other issues impacting older adults and their caregivers.
The Advisory Council is composed of three representatives from each of the nine counties in our service area. New members will begin April 1, 2020, and may renew twice upon completing their first full term. The Champaign County opening is a new term that end March 31, 2023. The Greene County opening is a replacement term that ends March 31, 2022. Upon completing a replacement term, members may then renew for their first full 3-year term. The Advisory Council meets monthly in Tipp City and mileage is reimbursed.
We appreciate the dedication of Bill Miller of Champaign County and Suzanne Patterson of Greene County for serving on the council and advocating for the needs of seniors and caregivers in their counties and throughout our region.
