Make the Right Choice about Your 2017 Medicare Health and Prescription Benefits

Medicare open enrollment begins October 15, and you have until December 7 to make changes to your Medicare coverage for 2017. If you need accurate, unbiased information about Medicare, attend a Medicare Check-Up Day event in your county and learn ways to stay informed, stay healthy, and save money.

The Ohio Department of Insurance, Ohio Senior Health Insurance Information Program (OSHIIP) hosts Medicare Check-Up events across the state to assist you in making educated choices for your 2017 health and prescription benefits. Participants learn about the recent changes to Medicare, find out how the Medicare Open Enrollment Period (October 15 to December 7) can work for them, and get tips on how to enroll for 2017 coverage in a Medicare Prescription Drug Plan (Part D) and/or a Medicare Advantage Plan.
