The Greater Dayton Regional Transit Authority (RTA) expanded its door-to-door ride service last fall through a grant from the Miami Valley Regional Planning Commission. The program is available to all older adults age 65+ and individuals living with disabilities, offering door-to-door service for essential trips such as to medical appointments, the pharmacy and grocery store. Customers do not have to be certified for RTA Connect paratransit service. This service is offered 8am-5pm Monday through Friday at $5 per one-way trip, per person. ($5 to the destination, and $5 back to home). Call 937-425-8300 to book a trip. Trips should be scheduled at least 3 days in advance, and are on a space-available basis.
This program currently has a temporary promotion allowing two individuals traveling to and from the same location at the same time, for just $5 total. The RTA must be notified of the additional person at the time of the trip reservation. Call 937-425-8300 to book a trip or for more information.
