Caregiver’s Book Club-Reading for Renewal

Being a caregiver can often feel isolating and finding time to care for yourself can be difficult. This book club is designed to support those who provide care for family members, friends, or loved ones. Join the Kettering Health Years Ahead Center in Centerville and the Area Agency on Aging to connect, unwind, and recharge through the shared experience of reading and discussion.

Featured book is Letters from Madelyn: Chronicles of a Caregiver by Elaine K Sanchez, based on real-life letters written by the author’s mother, Madelyn, during her journey as a caregiver for her husband. It provides an honest and heartfelt account of the challenges, frustrations, and moments of joy that come with caregiving.

• Register now and attend a Meet & Greet 2-3pm Wednesday, May 28, at the Centerville Kettering Health Years Ahead Center to receive your free copy of the book donated by Brookville Health & Rehab.
• The group meets Noon – 1pm Wednesdays starting June 11 and continuing June 18, June 25, and ending July 2 with a special online visit from the author via Zoom.
