Five Rivers MetroParks and the Area Agency on Aging collaborate on hosting a free Caregiver Nature Walk for respite and support to family caregivers 11am-Noon on Tuesday, March 12, at Cox Arboretum, 6733 Springboro Pike, Dayton. Meet Five Rivers MetroPark and Area Agency on Aging staff members for a walk in the park followed by a short social time to meet with other caregivers and gather information on programs and services.
This walk is open to all caregivers and their loved ones. Registration is requested but drop-ins are welcome. To register or for more information, please complete the form below or call Mary Hairston, Caregiver Services Coordinator, at 937-341-6944.
Meet in the Visitor Center 5/3 Room before walking a ½-mile, paved accessible path that passes by arboretum highlights. Five Rivers staff will point out and discuss natural features and emphasize mindfulness. Bring a water bottle and dress for the weather. A hat is recommended. All participants are eligible to receive a free copy of the Powerful Tools for Caregivers resource book.
