Five Rivers MetroParks and the Area Agency on Aging collaborate on hosting a free Caregiver Nature Walk for respite and support to family caregivers 11am-Noon on Tuesday, August 13, at Hills & Dales MetroPark, 2471 Deep Hollow Rd., Oakwood. Meet Five Rivers MetroPark and Area Agency on Aging staff members at the Paw Paw Shelter for a walk in the park followed by a short social time to meet with other caregivers and gather information on programs and services.

This walk is open to all caregivers and their loved ones. Registration is requested but drop-ins are welcome. To register or for more information, please complete the form below or call Mary Hairston, Caregiver Services Coordinator, at 937-341-6944.

Meet in the Paw Paw Shelter before walking a ½-mile trail composed of both natural dirt surface and wooden boardwalk. From the boardwalk we will look for various birds and wetland plant species, continuing to Dogwood Pond to enjoy the beauty of Hills & Dales MetroPark. Bring a water bottle and dress for the weather. Sunscreen and a hat are recommended. All participants are eligible to receive a free copy of the Powerful Tools for Caregivers resource book.
