Rocking Horse Community Health Center hosts this seven-week program 9:30-11:30am Tuesdays from May 13 through June 24, open to the public. Stepping On is a free, research-based program that teaches strategies for avoiding falls. This workshop is designed for people age 60 and older who have fallen or have a fear of falling. Registration requested by calling Pat at 937-360-6467.

In just 7 weekly, 2-hour sessions, participants learn:

  • balance and strength exercises
  • home safety modifications
  • medication review, and more.
  • Guest experts include a physical therapist, pharmacist, and others visiting over the seven sessions providing falls prevention information and strategies for avoiding a fall.

Participants can expect to finish the program with more strength, better balance, and a feeling of confidence and independence. If unable to start on May 13, then please register so they know to expect you will start the 2nd week on May 20 instead.

This Stepping On workshop is free through a collaboration between Rocking Horse Community Health Center, the Area Agency on Aging, PSA2, and the Ohio Dept. of Health.
