Senior Day Events Planned for May

Flip the Script on Aging is the theme for 2025 Older Americans Month, acknowledging older Americans’ contributions, highlighting aging trends, and reaffirming our commitment to serving older adults. Older Americans Month is celebrated every May to recognize the impact older adults have within their communities and spotlight resources, services and individuals supporting the aging process such as senior center staff, home health care workers, family caregivers, advocates and volunteers. The Administration for Community Living leads the annual observance of Older Americans Month and establishes a new and relevant theme each year. This year’s theme, Flip the Script on Aging, focuses on:

• Transforming how society perceives, talks about and approaches aging.
• Encouraging individuals and communities to challenge stereotypes and dispel misconceptions regarding aging.
• Honoring older adults’ contributions to our society.
• Exploring the many opportunities for staying active and engaged as we age.
• Highlighting the opportunities for purpose, exploration and connection surrounding aging.
