The Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program season officially began on Friday, May 15, and all nine counties in our region have reached maximum number of participants (Champaign, Clark, Darke, Greene, Logan, Miami, Montgomery, Preble and Shelby counties). No additional applications can be accepted. Individuals approved for the $50 benefit may now begin shopping with approved vendors. Please click here for an updated vendor list.
For individuals who selected a physical card, please note that cards may take approximately 4–6 weeks to arrive. Individuals who have downloaded the Homegrown Benefits app may use their QR codes while shopping.
Benefits can be used May 15 – November 30, 2026.
Previous benefit cards can be reused and reloaded if approved in future years. Applicants with an existing card may enter their card number for faster benefit distribution.
Participants may use benefits through:
-Mobile benefit option (QR code) by downloading the app
-Physical benefit card (takes 4-6 weeks to arrive)
Ohio’s Homegrown Benefits Support Line opens in May. Call the Support Line for answers to questions relating to card balance, the mobile app, and any online troubleshooting: Call 614-412-1729 between 10am and 7 pm Monday–Friday, 8am-5pm Saturday–Sunday.
