Free Family Caregiver Events for November

In recognition of November as National Family Caregivers Month, the Area Agency on Agency is hosting and/or co-sponsoring multiple free events especially for family caregivers. Please register in advance and see details below-

  • Caregiver Retreat, Friday, Nov. 6, 10am-2pm, at the Cox Arboretum in Dayton
  • Caregiver Retreat, Friday, Nov. 13, 10am-2pm, at the Birchwood Training and Senior Center in Greenville

Each retreat features a guest speaker, resource and information tables, a fun activity, healthy lunch, and the opportunity to talk and share with other family caregivers. Registration is required by Oct. 30 in order to ensure seating and meals. The Agency partners with Dayton Metro Libraries for two showings of actor Bradley Cooper’s documentary, Caregiving, in the Bassani Theater of the libraries’ main branch, 215 E. Third St., Dayton. Please see details below-

  • Movie Night for Caregivers: Support & Solidarity, Thursday, Nov. 19, 1:30-4:30pm, Dayton Metro Libraries, Main Library Branch, 215 E. Third St., Dayton. Includes exhibitor tables and panel discussion.
  • Movie showing alone (no exhibitors or panel discussion) Thursday, Nov. 19, 5:30-8:30pm, Dayton Metro Libraries, Main Library Branch, 215 E. Third St., Dayton.
