Caregiver Nature Walk Nov. 14 at Cox Arboretum

October 4, 2023

Join Five Rivers MetroParks and the Area Agency on Aging for a relaxed Caregiver Nature Walk 11am-Noon Tuesday, Nov. 14, at Cox Arboretum MetroPark, 6733 Springboro Pike, Dayton. This walk will begin indoors at the Visitor Center’s 5/3 Room for a naturalist talk and possible visits with Five Rivers’ animal ambassadors. Gather inside the visitor center’s 5/3 Room and then walk the paved loop path. This ½ mile accessible path goes by the highlights of the arboretum. Bring a water bottle. Dress for the weather, sunscreen and hat are recommended. In case of inclement weather, the program will remain indoors.

The walk will be followed by a short social time to meet with other caregivers and gather information on programs and resources. These walks are open to all caregivers and their loved ones. Registration is requested but drop-ins are welcome. To register or for more information, please contact Mary Hairston, Caregiver Services Coordinator, at 937-341-6944 or mhairston@info4seniors.org.

If unable to attend this month’s walk, please mark your calendar for the November 18 Caregiver Retreat at Brukner Nature Center in Troy. Advance registration is required for the retreat in order to ensure seating, meals and spacing. Reserve your seat by calling Mary Hairston, Caregiver Services Coordinator, at 937-341-6944 or mhairston@info4seniors.org
