Free Caregiver Workshop Dec. 8 – “Caregiving Through the Holidays”

November 16, 2021

The Agency on Aging presents this final Caregiver Workshop for the year: Not Always So Jolly – Caregiving Through the Holidays, 10-11am Wednesday, December 8, online via Zoom.

During a season where everyone seems to be jolly, the holidays are stressful for many. Grief comes in different forms and at different times throughout the caregiving journey which can add overwhelming stress to the caregiver’s life. It helps to be proactive in choosing how to get through difficult times, and this presentation explores common losses affecting caregivers and those they’re caring for, common presenting symptoms, and strategies helpful for many to best approach the 2021 holiday season. Join this free, small-group, interactive workshop that emphasizes it is okay to not be okay.

Workshop presenter is Bonnie Orlins, LISW-S ACHP-SW, Bereavement Counseling Professional for Pathways of Hope, the grief center at Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton.

Registration is requested by December 6 through contacting Kelsey Haus at khaus@info4seniors.org or 937-341-3020. The workshop link will be provided before the date.

This is a small-group discussion and the number of caregiver participants is limited. Not familiar with Zoom? Join a brief orientation session at 9:30am before the presentation begins.
