The Area Agency on Aging, PSA 2 is preparing a Bid Process for the period January 1, 2027 – December 31, 2030. We do not expect any change from the currently available federal and state funding.
We invite public comments on the county services and funding levels for 2027-2030 that follow in this notice. Public comments will be received from February 4, 2026 to March 4, 2026. Comments may be submitted to Chelsea Herdman at cherdman@info4seniors.org or mailed to Area Agency on Aging, 40 W. Second St., Dayton, OH 45402, Attention: Chelsea Herdman.
Details for the county allocations are included in the following charts. Area Agency on Aging PSA 2 service priorities include:
- Access to Services (Title III-B of the Older Americans Act): means services associated to accessing healthcare. Service priorities include transportation (both medical and general).
- In-home services (Title III-B of the Older Americans Act): means homemaker and home health aides, visiting and telephone reassurance; in-home respite care for families, including adult day care as a respite service for families.
- Legal Assistance (Title III-B of the Older Americans Act): means legal advice and representation to older individuals with economic or social needs provided by an attorney.
- Care Coordination (Title III-B, Title III-C2 of the Older Americans Act and Senior Community Services State Grant): means a person-centered, coordinated, network of community-based services to facilitate access and utilization of these services to age in place safely and support needs as they change.
- Home-delivered Meals (Title III-C2 of the Older Americans Act)
- Congregate Meals (Title III-C1 of the Older Americans Act)
- Caregiver Support (Title III-E of the Older Americans Act): respite care and supplemental services to complement the care provided by caregivers.
- Evidence Based Wellness Programming (Title III-D of the Older Americans Act): must meet the requirements for ACL’s Evidence-Based Definition or is considered to be an “evidence-based program” by an operating division of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and shown to be effective and appropriate for older adults.
- Home Repairs (Senior Community Services State Grant)
Planned funding is based on 2026 Funding levels and is contingent on final awards received by the Ohio Department of Aging.
